We are launching an initiative to collect and share information about special collections, libraries, and archives of music located within the defined regions of the New England Chapter of the American Musicological Society, which include the Maritime provinces, eastern Quebec, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and central and eastern Connecticut. These collections, libraries, and archives do not need to contain music of or about the regions of the New England Chapter, but instead should be located within these regions and can contain materials related to any musical tradition.
We are using a Google form to collect submissions from the AMS membership about archives and collections you might have consulted, work on the staff at, teach with in-person or virtually, and more:

The collected information from these form submissions (excluding name and email) will be gathered, organized, and shared publicly later this year through the AMS-NE Chapter as a service to scholars within and beyond the AMS membership seeking to conduct music research in these regions of the U.S. and Canada and promote awareness of well-known, lesser-known, or overlooked repositories of musical materials housed in this region.
Thank you in advance for your contributions to this effort!
